Welcome to the Lincoln County Humane Society!

The Lincoln County Humane Society is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty and abuse to animals, birds and wildlife.

We strive to maintain a No-Kill facility; a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals; a temporary home for the homeless; a haven for the mistreated, neglected or abused animals of Lincoln County and surrounding counties.

We are open from 12-5pm Monday-Friday, and 12-4pm on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.

Thanks Jada!
August 25, 2010

Attached is a picture of Jada Bushar.  For her tenth birthday, Jada generously asked for donations to the Lincoln County Humane Society instead of gifts for herself.

Jada is pictured in the middle row with purple flower in her hair. Much needed supplies like cat food and cat toys were donated on behalf of Jada.

Thanks, Jada for your generosity to the animals of the Humane Society!

Fun at "Life Skills for Little Ones"
August 20, 2010

Here are some adorable pictures from the Marc Center's "Life Skills for Little Ones" event.

Sumara, an adoptable dog from the Lincoln County Humane Society, was there to greet kids and help them to learn the proper way to approach a new dog.

Pilcher the cat, the LCHS mascot, was also present to teach kids about the best way to meet a cat and pick up a cat safely.

The kids also discussed animal care and what every pets needs to be healthy and happy.

As of June 3, we have collected $3,035.62 for the washer! Thanks to everyone who's contributed so far! We're getting closer to reaching our goal!

On May 19, the Tomahawk STAR Foundation (Support Tomahawk Area Resources) awarded the Lincoln County Humane Society with a $1,000 gift towards the purchase of a new industrial washing machine. In addition, the STAR Foundation issued a challenge to the rest of our community by pledging an additional $1,000 if we can raise the rest of the money needed for this washer.

So far, we have collected $1,750 in donations. We need to collect another $2,350 to take advantage of the generous pledge from the Tomahawk STAR Foundation.

PLEASE HELP US REACH OUR GOAL!  We welcome all cash donations, no matter how small. Please forward your donations to the shelter at 200 N. Memorial Drive, or click the DONATE button on our website to make a donation with a credit card or Paypal account.
