Gunther Update 3/26

March 26, 2024

Gunther is doing well at the vet clinic. Their staff love him and his sweet nature. His electolytes are closer to normal levels, his fecal results are normal, and a 4DX test was negative (showing he does not have any tick borne illnesses).
The vet has reached out to a specialist regarding Gunther’s teeth. It is possible that if he was so malnourished while his permanent teeth were coming in, that his teeth developed without any enamel on them, causing severe decay at a potentially young age. We will keep everyone updated as we learn more about the condition of his teeth and what this may mean.
At this time, we are not accepting applications on Gunther. He has a long road to recovery and may be with the foster family for a while after he leaves the vet. We will have an update when applications will be accepted.
We are so grateful to everyone for the amazing support for Gunther! Thank you for your generosity and kindness!
